1. Application cookies
The website uses the mca_session cookie to maintain a requested sign-in and enforce account and security checks. It contains an opaque session credential rather than your documents or password. On the public HTTPS site it is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax.
The session normally expires after 8 hours; the company's session setting can set a period from 1 to 24 hours. Logout expires the browser cookie and revokes the session. Expiry of the cookie does not delete the associated audit or security records. The signup CAPTCHA is served by our application, rather than an embedded third-party advertising service.
2. Network and payment services
Cloudflare handles website traffic and may use security cookies when its protection features challenge or assess a request. Examples include cf_clearance for challenge clearance and __cf_bm where bot-management protection is active. Their presence and lifetime depend on the feature used; they are not necessarily set on every visit. See Cloudflare's cookie information.
If you open a Stripe-hosted checkout or billing portal, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies on its own pages for payment and fraud prevention. Its notice applies there. The application does not embed an advertising tracker or an optional behavioural-analytics script.
3. Your choices
Technologies strictly necessary for a service you request, such as secure sign-in, are used without optional-cookie consent where the law permits. We will seek consent before introducing non-essential tracking where required; accepting our terms or continuing to browse is not that consent.
You can block or remove cookies in your browser. Blocking authentication or required security cookies may prevent sign-in or access. The desktop application's secure credential storage is separate from website cookies. For questions or privacy requests, contact privacy@mycompaniesai.com.
